Cooler mornings and leaves on the ground are the telltale signs that we are nearing the Autumnal equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere. And, whilst we enjoy the many joys that summer brings, we couldn't be more ready for it. With the arrival of this new season comes the opportunity to revisit our beloved winter wardrobes, to layer up and accessorise, and ultimately take comfort in ones' clothing again.
Seasoned customers will know that we're particularly fond of knitwear here at Trunk, which is why it makes up the majority of our in-house collection this year. 01. Batoner Signature Shawl Collar Cardigan
Whilst we're still wearing our blazers on a regular basis here at Trunk, a knit cardigan is an easy way to create a similar silhouette that will provide both added comfort and an air of relaxed confidence. This version, from the Japanese brand Batoner, has a smooth shawl collar and single button fastening, giving it a contemporary edge, especially when worn alone with a T-shirt.

02. Trunk Berwick Shetland Crew Sweater
Our Trunk Berwick Shetland crew sweater has become one of our most popular products. It's crafted in the same traditional way and style as a classic Shetland sweater but has been made from a pure new wool with a slightly lighter (and softer) handle. This makes it a little easier to layer under a suit jacket and means that it can be worn for a longer period throughout the year. This season it comes in an array of muted autumnal colours, as well as two best-sellers — dark olive and pebble grey.

03. Heimat Textil Wool Roll Neck
Heimat Textil's heavy gauge wool roll neck is modelled on nautical styles worn by sailors and fisherman. It's as heavy as we would ever go with our knitwear, and even in the coldest climes won't require much more than a lightweight jacket or bomber. Made in Germany, the neck and sleeves have all been attached by hand, a testament to the brands commitment to traditional manufacturing.

04. Fedeli Wool Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater
Made with the same traditional saddle-shoulder construction as our Trunk Berwick sweater, this crew neck sweater from Fedeli has been made from a sustainable blend of wool and recycled cashmere that has a wonderfully fuzzy texture. Available in classic navy and grey and a bottle green colour that will work perfectly for the upcoming holiday season.

05. Trunk Harley Merino Crew Neck Sweater
Part of our new made in Italy knitwear range, the Trunk Harley has been designed to be your year-round everyday crew neck sweater. Crafted from merino wool in a mid-gauge knit, it can be worn with both smart and casual outfits alike and is ideal for layering over a shirt and under a jacket for what we would call a classic Trunk look.

06. Camoshita Chunky Cable Zipped Cardigan
This cardigan from Camoshita features a unique lattice style cable knit with a large ribbed collar that can be worn up or folder over. It's made from a blend of cotton and wool that further adds to the texture without being too delicate. It has two hand warmer pockets on the side and a functional two-way zip fastening that can be left partially undone to reveal a T-shirt or shirt underneath.
