For AW22, Trunk celebrates the return of cooler weather with a collection of innately wearable yet luxury winter staples. This season, the offering is made up of elevated classics, each with a carefully considered fit and crafted from fabrics that have been selected to maximise functionality and elegance. From our investment overcoat in tactile Harris Tweed to our sharp Italian-made tailoring, the versatility of the collection allows for a mix of smart and casual pieces that all pair seamlessly together. Below, we run through some of the highlights from the collection that will be arriving in the comings weeks and months.
Returning once again for AW22, the Trunk Devonshire overcoat is our investment outerwear for the season. With its classic and elegant A-line silhouette and raglan sleeves, the Devonshire is a timeless silhouette that is designed to be worn for years to come. It will be available in two distinct fabrics from the famed Scottish weaver, Harris Tweed; a rich brown herringbone and a grey micro-check. Pair it with our Trunk Crawford cashmere sweater or layer over the Trunk Park Gilet for maximum warmth.
Lightweight Merino Knitwear
The backbone of our seasonal knitwear offering is made up of lightweight Italian-made Merino styles that offer smart-casual versatility and superior comfort. For AW22 perennial favourites return in new colours, such as the Trunk Enford Merino knit long sleeve polo shirt in deep emerald green and the Trunk Harley Merino crew neck sweater in indigo blue and dark beige. Both styles sit alongside our Trunk Brook Merino knit blazer, which combines the comfort of a knit with the elegance and sharpness of tailoring.
The Shetland Sweater
Our most popular knitwear style, The Trunk Berwick Shetland sweater returns this year with a new twist. Crafted from a textured Irish Donegal yarn for a playful yet subtle melange of colour that will add depth and texture to this already tried and tested style. Retaining the same shape and detailing of the original, the Donegal iteration will feature a slightly heavier and more robust handle making it the perfect layer for the colder months ahead. Available in blue, grey and rust, it will sit alongside the always anticipated return of our regular Berwick; which will arrive in a capsule of four of our most popular colours; dark olive, ecru, old gold and tobacco.
Our seasonal tailoring offering will once again focus on our in-house style, the exceptionally versatile Trunk Wigmore suit. Available this season in an understated wool twill, a classic wool flannel and a plush needlecord, the Trunk Wigmore suit is made by our friends at Lardini and combines the laidback unstructured elegance of Italian tailoring with Trunk's sensibility for smart casual and versatile dressing.
Corduroy Chore Jacket
The Aldford chore jacket, which made its seersucker debut this summer, is our take on the utilitarian classic. This new version is cut from a plush wide wale corduroy fabric for texture and warmth through the autumn and winter. It will be available in navy and tan and will have complimentary bottoms available in the form of our Trunk Hollen single pleat trousers so that it can be worn in place of a suit for when the dress code calls for more casual than smart.
Two standout outerwear pieces come in the form of our tried and tested Trunk Blandford field jacket in an exclusive new fabric and a new addition for AW22, the Trunk Halkin raincoat.
This season our field jacket model, the Blandford, is available in a luxurious and densely woven navy wool cloth from the esteemed English woollen mill, Fox Brothers. With an eco-friendly treatment that enhances the natural water and wind-resistant properties of the wool, the fabric feels extremely luxurious whilst retaining its high functionality.
Our new addition, the Trunk Halkin raincoat is made in Italy from organic cotton Ventile® for maximum protection against the elements. In a flattering, slim silhouette, the Halkin is unlined and lightweight for easily throwing it on over a tailored jacket or knitwear.
