Granger & Co. have just opened their fifth London location around the corner from our Chiltern Street store. We wanted to offer a warm welcome to Marylebone and paid them a visit with our team for breakfast.
Bill Granger, restaurateur and food writer, founded his first restaurant in 1993 with the vision for all-day Australian dining that embodies his sunny and relaxed approach to food. Now, with a number of locations throughout Sydney, London, Tokyo and Seoul, there is no question that this accessible approach has a universal appeal. Nestled on Marylebone High Street, Granger & Co. takes up residence in what was once the famous Maison Sagne patisserie, a historic space that has had a refreshing makeover for its new occupants. With a bar at the entrance and an impressive atrium at the rear, the use of the space gives a real sense of grandeur but allows for an intimate and personal dining experience. As far as the food goes, we will let the images do most of the talking, the famous scrambled eggs and ricotta hotcakes are a must try along with the corn fritters, which were the unanimous favourite amongst our team. If you are ever in the area, we would highly recommend paying them a visit and, of course, swing by Trunk to say hello on your way.
